We are always looking for faster ways to do things and get more accomplished with the time we have. Working efficiently is at the heart of achieving this. As designers, we need ways of working efficiently with the tools we use every day.

This three part tutorial series is about working efficiently in Photoshop by making non destructive changes to files and preserving the original files while modifying them in Photoshop. This is to save you time making changes and updates to your files later, and not having to redo what you had previously done. I have found this to be very helpful and productive in my work and I hope you do too.

You may be asking yourself,  “Why another design blog and what’s in it for me?” Well let me start by introducing myself.

My name is Thomas Christiansen and I am a design enthusiast, Art Director, student, husband, among other things. I became interested in design as a youngling but didn’t think a making a career out of it until my freshmen year of college. Since then, I have started TWC Designs, offering a range of design services, and been Art Director at several companies. For some time I have felt to urge to start a blog, sharing what I have learned, offering resources, tutorials and freebees. Now I am excited to see this come true.
